About Yorkshire Bavarian Brass (f.k.a Kase Chiefs)

A 5 Star professional Oompah band with bags of enthusiasm & energy. A full on show with games and laughs. Not to be missed!
Bavarian oompah band
Barnsley
Public liability insurance of £5 million

We are The Kase Chiefs Bavarian Oompah Band a talented, mature, six piece OOmpah band from South Yorkshire. Our complete shows provide fun and laughter with party games and giveaways as standard. Audience participation is high on our list when it comes to entertainment. We are all professional musicians and just love being involved in German Band music. We believe that we have one of the best Brass sections around having learnt our trade playing around bierkellers in Germany whilst employed as full time musicians in the UK and Europe. Entertaining and performing are the skills of our ensemble but we can also ensure professionalism, communication and passion for the music we play and the job that we do. We are very particular about each event and like to consult clients all the way through on music choices, timings, and every other detail. We come with a full modern lighting and new professional speaker system and sound desk so clients get the best sound and atmosphere. In addition, each instrumentalist has a personal instrument wireless microphone system so the balance between us all is superb. We can also work to most clients instructions should they desire a piece of music that we don’t have. We have our own in house music arranger so with the correct license, we can arrange music for a client. Flexibility and communication are really very important to us and we believe that works both ways. We have played at all kinds of events in many cities and venues and draw on oompah German music right through to the 90's and beyond with typical party hits to entertain all.The band is available not just for Oktoberfest but at any time of the year.

The band turned up and began playing before their set. They also took (stole) the entire supply of drinks and snacks which were meant for all of the bands attending our event. After the event they claimed they had performed an extra set and demanded more money off us. They did not perform an extra set and when confronted with this inaccuracy their demand for money was voided. This band was expensive for 2 x 45 sets

The person writing the review was not there on the night. The client has left a poor review on a band page where every other review is 5*. We did a number of favours for this client, arriving early and setting up in good time, covering for their missing other act by playing longer sets and playing recorded music as was requested. We were by the person looking after the event to ‘get some music going when we were ready’ and so we did. We started 10 minutes before time to allow this to happen. People were sat in silence with no atmosphere, The other band didn’t show up until two hours after we started playing despite getting the same timetable as us. The client booked us for two sets and then demanded 3.I had already spoken to Encore about this but in any event, because the other band were two and a half hours late, we were told to put recorded music on for 30 minutes and then go back on to cover for them. Initially, they had wanted us to sit from 6,15pm until 8.30pm and then do an extra set. We werent willing to sit for 2 1.2 hours whilst the paying guests had our recorded music on. We were there to entertain and we worked incredibly hard. Regarding the extra payment, this was asked for prior to the event at the behest of encore who said we were only booked for 2 sets. Any extra monies would have gone to was willing to our charity for retired musicians bucket, We did not steal all of the refreshments. There were 4 sandwiches and 6 of players in our band. We had asked for food and we had the sandwiches, some crisps and some cans of coke. We simply had refreshments each and took the rubbish home with us. Eventually, when the brass band arrived, the marketing person saw us packing up and could have spoken to us then if there was a problem but she didn't so we assumed all was well. We stuck to their timetable and were no problem whatsoever and we refute these allegations. I understand that you thought we were expensive for 2 x 45 minute sets (although you booked us on this premise) but as we performed 1 x 55 minute, played popular German music as insisted on by you via a free a DJ service, and then we did 1 x 60 minute set with games, audience participation and giveaways for the audience. I think you had a good deal, especially when the the other band didn't show!

We were all really impressed with the transformation of our Mess into a Höfbrauhaus! The band were amazing and fully embraced our split Oktoberfest/Halloween theme. Highly recommended!

The Käse Chiefs performed at our Oktoberfest party and were extremely well received playing to a packed crowd. They kept everyone engaged through the music and games all night. They were extremely professional throughout the booking process with a fast response time. Feedback from customers from the night has been great and we'd happily have them back again.

We can provide a small pre recorded music service and you wont be left with silence. However, this is simply us using our tech devices to play previously download tracks to suit the event. Realistically, we need just one hour to set up and then we like a sound check. Ideally, we need to be vacant of any crowd whilst we set up and sound check so that we get the levels spot on.
