About Yohane-Liam

Violinist
Newcastle upon Tyne
Music student at Newcastle University with a background in classical and session music. I play a lot of jazz and modern music.

My musical experience starts from first learning the piano as a child and taking the violin as a principle study from 11 years old. I've been in an variety of orchestras and projects such as the LSSO and the Southbank Sinfonia and became interested in jazz music at some point between finishing sixth form and starting university, which mostly stemmed from the many years I've spent developing my improvisational skills since I was 15 when I first started busking to raise money to go on a music related holiday to the USA. After raising a couple grand over the Christmas holidays I've opted to busk in London in my free time as it was more profitable than retail, but I'm doing that a lot less frequently now because of university and more professional music work. I have experience playing in weddings and similar events and have played in London, Rome and Newcastle, and have been offered other fantastic opportunities based on my merit. I also play in church most weeks on the drums or piano (keys with MainStage when necessary), both to a high standard and have also played conferences, one of them being the Global Leadership Summit at a satellite location in Newcastle, but also many at home in London and once at Durham Cathedral with the CofE.

What can I say.. Yohane played the violin at our wedding reception and he was nothing short of amazing. He played the violin during our dinner and our guests were blown away by his talents. He is extremely professional and flexible to fit your needs. We have had lots of guests asking for his details to book him for future events. Would highly recomend if you want an unforgettable musician.
