The XTones are a breath of fresh air in the world of covers bands. Fronted by the multi talented Lizzie on vocals and guitar, with local legend Mark L on lead guitar, the highly professional and tight rhythm section of Stocksy on bass and Mark S on drums and bv's, we will surprise and delight anyone who sees us with our range and versatility. We have been together as the XTones for about 4 years, after playing in different covers and originals bands and honing our craft in many different local venues. Lizzie has been teaching music and playing live, both solo and in bands for some time and has an amazing voice. Mark, Mark and Paul have all been playing in bands for many years and are a really tight outfit ... the chemistry between all of them is palpable. We don’t just play the usual covers, or any one particular style of music, but we make sure that we give everyone a thoroughly good time with over 2 hours of party classics - plenty of singalongs and funky dance or rocky numbers - which we know always get everyone up on the dancefloor, both young and old. We will also learn your first dance if you would like us to - within reason of course!

We have had the XTones play at our annual summer party for 3 years and they are fantastic! Really helpful and flexible, they manage to get everyone dancing. Great band, great music, great fun!

The XTones are absolutely brilliant! They played at my work-do and were fabulous with lots of all-time favourite dance hits. We had a super night and hence, I booked them for my own birthday party. Booking and agreeing the playlist was a very painless process as Mark is super experienced, reliable and the communication was excellent throughout. Their music is of superb quality and they really get everyone dancing - we had such a great party!! I would absolutely recommend them!!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

Our clients love the fact that we play such a broad mix of songs - literally something for everyone - our songs range from 60s to the present day. And we don’t stick to one kind of music - everything from rock, pop, disco, motown, funk, you name it. And we don’t spend much time chatting, we just move from classic to classic and let the music do the talking.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have played at festivals, in pubs and clubs, in back gardens, and in village halls and many other venues.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Too many to mention! But this gives a flavour - Beatles, AC/DC, Blondie, Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols, Clash, Metallica, Muse, Kings of Leon, Robbie Williams, George Michael … and so many more

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably Berko Beerfest this year which we headlined. Our guitarist even played at Hyde Park Calling a few years ago!

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes our singer Lizzie - as seen in our video - will be there to sing for you. We have dep drummers and guitarists but we choose not to have a dep for Lizzie - she is irreplaceable, so we guarantee that she will be who you will get!

Do you have different line-up options?

We generally have all 4 of us at all gigs but we could play as a 2 piece if you want harmony vocals, acoustic guitar and cajon.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We can always discuss timings right up to the day - we are very flexible and we know things can change unexpectedly, so we will work with you to make sure it all runs smoothly

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we are set up to play any music through our own smartphones or you can provide playlists of your choice which we can play through the PA.

How much time do you need to set up?

We only need 45 minutes from arrival to being ready to play. An hour will be perfect but we are quick and there is no fuss. The only thing we would need to do is a sound check once we have set up which takes 2 minutes.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes you can. We like to think we know what most people like - our reputation is based on playing a firm set of favourites for all ages - but we are happy to be steered by you if you know what your audience prefer.
