Wren Gray

Wren Gray is a professional harpist and harp teacher of French-German descent. She was born in London, UK, but spent part of her childhood in Bulgaria. Her musical journey began at the age of seven, when she became the first child in Bulgaria to learn to play the harp at an early age. She studied under her mother and teacher Anna Alexandrova. Very soon after that, she took a leading place in the first Bulgarian harp class following the traditions of the Western harp school, inspiring other young harpists in Bulgaria who followed in her footsteps. Soon after, she began performing and her talent quickly gained her recognition in the harp world. At the age of ten, she won first place and a gold medal at the “Musical Inspirations” music competition. She is also the first child and the only one in Bulgaria who, at the early age of thirteen, performed JS Bach’s Italian Concerto on stage with impressive precision and virtuosity for her age. Over the years, she enriched the cultural life in Sofia with regular performances on stage and actively promoted the art of the harp with performances at various events and concerts. In addition to her mother, over the years Wren honed her skill under the guidance of respected and world-renowned professionals such as Maria Luisa Rayan, Maria Bildea, Victor Hartobanu, Katerina Kitsou, Anna Loro, Rita Costanzi and many others, attending numerous master classes and academies. During her formative years, Wren’s artistry graced international academies, events, and concerts, where her performances captivated audiences with their emotional depth and technical brilliance. As a cultural ambassador, she shares the ethereal charm of the harp with audiences and through her strong online presence also enriches the global music community with her beautiful interpretations. At the age of twelve, Wren began her teacher training under her teacher Anna Alexandrova. Currently, her goal is to guide and inspire young harpists and with unwavering dedication to lead by example and knowledge, teaching in the intricacies of harp art.
