W.E. take classics from throughout the ages and play them in the most twisted, jazzy and spectacular ways known to (wo)man. They're currently working on a debut EP of tasty original material... W.E. met in an Edinburgh Fringe show, went to Glasgow Uni together and managed to co-exist in a flat for two years. Deciding they were too cool for a permanent residence, they packed their (small) bags and took off round the continent - busking and gigging for a year through The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and Spain. They garnered significant attention on the continent - playing at festivals, on radio shows and in various venues - subsequently being featuring in the July edition of the easyJet Traveller magazine. Now they're back to take their homeland by storm. W.E. are versatile performers having spent many years playing in a variety of settings - including music venues, theatres, bars, restaurants, festivals, and at functions and events. Holding degrees in both Music and Theatre Studies, and with years of training in musical theatre, W.E. have cultivated a polished and sophisticated sound. They are particularly inventive with old-style jazz and blues arrangements but are adaptable as to repertoire - considering each audience and selecting music appropriately.
