William Hoareau is a London-based session guitarist originally from Australia's Gold Coast, known for his versatility, musicality, and ability to bring songs to life both in the studio and on stage. Drawing influence from blues, R&B, soul, pop, and contemporary music, William has built a reputation as a tasteful and adaptable guitarist capable of fitting seamlessly into a wide range of musical settings. With over seven years of professional performance experience, William has worked alongside established Australian artists including Budjerah, Conrad Sewell, Birren, Georgia Hoareau, Rudy Matoy, Bronte Eve, Sunny Luwe, Lars Night, Angel XO, Wootton Major, and the Blackline Band. His work has taken him to major festivals, concert halls, theatres, and live events across Australia, performing for audiences ranging from intimate venues to crowds of thousands. A career highlight came in 2025 when William performed at Bluesfest Byron Bay with ARIA Award-winning artist Budjerah, appearing on the festival's iconic Crossroads Stage. Other notable performances include Woodford Folk Festival, St Kilda Festival, Falls Creek Festival, Bleach Festival, the WSL Burleigh Bonsoy Pro, Moonee Valley Festival, and a performance at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. These opportunities have allowed him to develop the professionalism, flexibility, and stage awareness required of a modern session musician. William was also recognised as a finalist for the 2025 Gold Coast Musician of the Year Award, reflecting his growing reputation within the Australian music industry. Throughout his career, he has earned praise from fellow musicians and artists for his work ethic, reliability, and ability to learn material quickly while delivering performances that serve the music. Alongside performing, William holds a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Guitar), a Diploma of Music Industry (Performance), and additional qualifications in music business and professional development. His studies have been complemented by private mentorship and intensive training in contemporary, jazz, and commercial music styles, providing a strong foundation for both live and studio work. Whether tracking guitars in the studio, performing on tour, supporting artists at festivals, or stepping into a last-minute live situation, William approaches every project with the same goal: delivering great guitar parts that elevate the music while supporting the artist's vision. His playing combines strong technical ability with a deep understanding of feel, tone, and songcraft, allowing him to move comfortably between soulful rhythm work, expressive lead playing, modern pop textures, and improvisational styles. Now based in London, William is actively collaborating with artists, producers, songwriters, and music directors across the UK and internationally. Available for live performances, recording sessions, touring, remote guitar recording, and creative collaborations, he continues to build a career centred on versatility, professionalism, and a genuine passion for making great music.
