In September 2015, William joined RAM where he studied bassoon with Robin O'Neill, John Orford, Andy Watts, Simon Estell and Fraser Gordon. He is currently completing a postgraduate degree at RCM, focusing on modern bassoon as well as historical performance on baroque and classical bassoon. Solo experience: William made his concerto debut in December 2015, performing Vivaldi's 'La Notte' in Headington. He went to Italy in 2016 and 2017 with the RAM bassoon department for masterclasses with Marco Lugaresi, and played Vivaldi concerti with orchestra. In November and December 2017 William performed both the World Premiere and the London Premiere (at Kings Place with Tchaikovsky Camerata) of a new bassoon concerto by Colombian composer Arturo Cuellar. William was a guest artist at Musikk I Sentrum Festival 2019 (Norway) - including soloist in Vivaldi concerto, recital with piano, and soloist in gala concert. He has performed the Weber Concerto and various Vivaldi concertos with keen amateur orchestras. Orchestral experience includes: National Youth Orchestra 2012-2015, RAM symphony orchestra 2015-2019, Cornerstone Chamber Orchestra (Milton Keynes) - ongoing, West Green Opera July 2017, Firebird Orchestra - ongoing, Orion Orchestra - ongoing, Waterperry Opera Festival - 2018, Dorset Opera - 2018, Hampstead Garden Opera - ongoing. William is available to give private tuition in bassoon and music theory, in the London and Oxford areas.
