I've performed widely from weddings to full-scale musicals and pantomimes including All Shook Up, Bring It On, How I Became a Pirate and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Whatever genre, mood or style is required, I can easily adapt for my client's needs and wishes. I especially enjoy arranging or modifying popular or classic pieces with my highly versatile electric piano - which has been well received (see my edition of James Blunt's 'Bonfire Heart'). Working with children and young adults is a particular passion of mine - although I have worked extensively with adult performers - and I have a background in teaching at college level. I am fully DBS checked and travel with my piano to events and shows I work on.

Will was amazing for my daughter's wedding. I gave him quite an eclectic music list (Beatles to Glen Miller to Star Wars theme tune) and he certain rose to the challenge, playing in the background for the whole reception. He is also a very approachable young man, making ease conversation with people. I thoroughly recommend Will

Will was recently the Musical Director for a production of ‘Bring It On’, that I was Co-Directing, with Reach Productions. It was a huge undertaking: there were a great many vocal numbers, and for the most part the musical was underscored throughout; on top of which, time was short. We needed someone who would navigate all of this, putting in the considerable time to prep and teach it; someone who would work professionally but be approachable to the young cast of 14 - 21 year olds. Will did all of this, under pressure, never losing his cool with the students - in fact they loved him. He was fun and approachable, thorough and dedicated to their learning. He put in the necessary extra rehearsals without a quibble, and liaised with us over every detail, attending production meetings and always carrying himself in a professional manner. He was willing to go the extra mile for us, and for cast members, and for this we were most thankful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him as a tutor, for any age.

I could not recommend more highly Will Sherwood for any performance or direction with music. My own experience working with Will was in two capacities. The first is as a musical director for a pantomime production I was in, and the second was as the pianist for my wedding. It is no coincidence that I had complete trust and faith in his abilities for my wedding after working with him on the stage production. To firstly look upon the time working on the show. Not only is he able to firmly assert himself, but he works with the company in a timely and friendly manner that I have seen elevate performances beyond the expectations of others. He is happy to throw challenges to his cast whilst being open to creative amendments where necessary. When I then asked him to play at my wedding, he was always open to work hard, take suggestions and offer a wide selection of music to play. With our own suggestions, he was able to take his own spin that not only remained faithful to what we wanted as a couple, but also vastly improved what we wanted in the first instance as well. Considering our own friendship at this time, he was still open to constructive criticism and was consummately professional throughout. For someone who is willing to go above and beyond and really bring fantastic industry to every job he works on, Will would truly be the best choice.
