Will Frampton is a composer and conductor living and working in London. In 2014 he graduated from Goldsmiths College, University of London with an MMus in composition; passing with distinction. During his time and Goldsmiths Will studied Composition with Roger Reigate and Alistair Zaldua and Analysis with Craig Ayrey. He currently studies composition with David Matthews and Robert Saxton.
Will's compositions have been performed by a number established performers including: The Allegri String Quartet, Kate Ryder, Nafis Umberkulova, Steven East, Roger Williams, Jennifer Bennett and The London Consort of Winds, whose 2012 composition competition he was a finalist. Since 2014 Will Has been working with artist Nastassja Simensky on a commemoration of The HMS London which was sunk in the Themes Estuary in 1665. The London was performed at the site of the wreck by the Ligeti String Quartet and Soprano Rachel Duckett in August 2014. The footage from this performance is currently being edited for a film and the score will be released as part of a publication concerning the project. In October 2014 Will co-founded Wild street ensemble, a chamber ensemble that plays a wide range of music from new commissions to medieval arrangements. The ensemble made their debut at Guerrilla Zoo’s Modern Panic V were they performed Will's miniature Ballet ‘Choreomania’, choreographed and danced by Trinity Laban graduate Dylan Canton. In 2015 Movement for chamber orchestra will be performed by The London Contemporary Chamber Orchestra. Will conducted the GKT Music Society Orchestra and Choir for the 2015-16 season. During this period he conducted Schubert's 8th Symphony, Beethoven's Coriolan Overture, and extracts form Handel's Messiah. In September 2016 he will begin studying towards a PHD in Composition and the University of Manchester under the supervision of Camden Reeves.
