Wendy Austin-Boulton

After a long break from performing, I am back stronger than ever and with a much wider repertoire. I've been massively inspired by Covid and life events to get back out there and do what I love. I adore pop music in its full glory and also stripping songs down to perform them acoustically. I've spent the last year working on training my voice (with one of my musical theatre heroes) to incorporate musical theatre into my repertoire. It has been the most amazing experience which has widened my range and introduced me to new techniques and songs that I thought were out of my reach and style, such as songs from Phantom. Through this I've also been successful in auditioning for a local musical theatre company and am currently working on a production to be staged at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham. Exciting! Over the past year I have performed as various events for my local community including the 'Darling Buds of May" event at Bestwood Country Park, the Bestwood Village Jubilee Event, St James, Porchester Jubilee and "Girls Night Out - Mamma Mia, Here we go again" events, as well as some open mics in Nottingham and Loughborough.
