Steve and Chess are based in the beautiful home county of Buckinghamshire and have been friends since the age of 11. Their acoustic duo partnership was formed in 2019, the strong connection between these two is what makes them an absolute pleasure to watch and gets everyone dancing and in the groove! The duo began in 2018 from a list of songs Steve and Chess wanted to perform at their local pub. From that moment they realised they had something special and had such natural chemistry together on stage. Steve and Chess have since never looked back, they perform at weddings, private gigs, corporate events and everything in between. Chess has made a career of singing internationally on Cruise Lines but has recently set up camp in the UK enabling her time to devote to the duo. Steve is a talented guitarist and singer, he has always had a love of all songs and is a natural on stage. Steve and Chess create a fun and engaging atmosphere without being too overpowering, they are the perfect duo for a wedding drinks reception, restaurant/pub music or a daytime party. Have your guests swaying along to Motown one minute and dancing in their seats to Beyonce the next. There is something for everyone to enjoy from this beautiful acoustic duo which will leave your guests clicking their fingers and tapping their toes

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We have been friends for many years and this comes across in our performance. We give out a friendly and approachable atmosphere that puts our clients at ease.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed mainly for weddings and have entertained at local pubs.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We love Motown, there is something about all Motown music that fits so nicely into an uplifting set without being too upbeat for the daytime or a reception.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

That should be fine! We don't usually have more than one booking per day so are quite flexible with timings. Just let us know as soon as you can.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes of course, we can provide a playlist in keeping with the atmosphere of the day!

How much time do you need to set up?

We would need 1 hour to set up to allow for a quick sound check before your guests arrive.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Chess can as she has a radio mic.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Of course! Choose any favourites you like and we can definitely get them played.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, it includes all the sound equipment you will need, all we need access to is a plug socket.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes, we do however ask for a small fee of £30 which accounts for learning and rehearsal time.
