Victoria Armillotta is an English-Italian Soprano who is currently undertaking her second-year undergraduate studies at the renowned Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Nicholas Powell. Since starting her studies at the RNCM, Victoria has performed in Massenet’s Cendrillon (RNCM) and in Ellen Kent’s International touring production of Aida as a chorus member. She partook in outreach work in RNCM Children’s Opera RATS! in 2016. Furthermore, she is performing the role of “Musetta” for Leeds Youth Opera's upcoming production of La Bohème. Expanding upon traditional repertoire, Victoria is currently working alongside RNCM composer Ellis Howarth on a new monodrama “Lost” which will premiere in 2018. During her gap years, Victoria has been very fortunate to be part of the Wales International Academy of Voice Saturday Academy in Cardiff run by former ENO principal Patricia O’Neill. She also performed in contemporary opera Tarka the Otter by Stephen McNeff as part of The Two Moors Festival. In August 2015, she took part in two prestigious summer schools: Abingdon Summer School for Solo Singers at Radley College and AIMS at Eastbourne College. Victoria undertook and performed roles such as “Mabel” in the Pirates of Penzance, the title role of “Patience”, and “First Spirit” in the Magic Flute with Somerset Opera. Additionally to solo singing, Victoria also performs around the UK with her ensemble, Stella Maris Trio. In July 2017 the trio performed their first opera together, Orfeo ed Euridice by Gluck where she performed the role of "Euridice". Furthermore, Stella Maris Trio have done their first tour in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire culminating in the enchanting and historical Blenheim Palace. Past distinguished venues include Exeter Cathedral. Victoria has taken part in several master classes with international artists and directors such as Donald Maxwell, Gail Pearson, Leah-Marian Jones, Richard Jackson, Stephen Varcoe, Patricia O’Neill, Henry Herford, Margaret Humphrey-Clark, Susan McCulloch, Carlos Aransay, Elaine Kidd, Julius Drake, Anne Le Bozec.
