Formed by four professionally trained multi instrumentalists, The Velvet Reed Quartet brings together years of musical study and live performance experience from weddings to theatre to cruise ships. Each member Soprano Sax (Helen Grout), Alto Sax (Benjamin Adams) , Tenor Sax (Maddie Joyce) and Baritone Sax (Caroline Richardson) can perform classical, jazz, pop, and contemporary music, we offer a versatile and refined sound that suits every part of your day. We pride ourselves on delivering more than exceptional music. Professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail are central to everything we do. We work closely with each couple/event organiser to tailor our music and performance style, ensuring the music we provide from a romantic soundtrack for your ceremony or a stylish, upbeat performance during the drinks reception or wedding breakfast that captivates guests, we approach every wedding/event with care and enthusiasm.

Music as guests arrive and sit down adding a beautiful atmosphere as background music. Music during ceremony includes entrance song, signing of the register and exit music. Songs can be requested. We can also play as a clarinet or flute quartet too if preferred.

Cruise Ships, to beautiful wedding venues such as Old Kent Barn and Forest Row to theatres around the uk!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I’m influenced by a mix of artists—both for their sound and how they tell stories. I really admire how Jess Gillam uses emotion in her performances as a sax player.

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, we can play as a saxophone, clarinet or flute quartet!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings or dates change in the run up to the event just let us know and will do our best to accommodate you.

How much time do you need to set up?

30-45 minutes prior the event
