Velvet Groove bring high-end sensibilities to one of the hottest function bands out of London. Its members have played with the likes of Roy Ayres, Crusaders, Light Of The World, Jamiroquai, Will Young, John Newman, Beverley Knight, James Cotton, Ronnie Wood, KT Tunstall, Dr John, Maceo Parker, Jocelyn Brown, James Morrison, Beverly Knight, Lemar, Ella Henderson, Nile Rodgers, Prince and Chic, to name a few. They provide an authentic mix of Motown, pop, rock, soul & funk with the personnel and pedigree to ensure a soulful and exciting experience for any audience. Whilst they run their own original projects the members of Velvet Groove enjoy nothing more than getting back to their roots and busting out the best classic and contemporary tunes for audiences. They operate a recording studio in South East London with vintage recording gear and are passionate about working with new and upcoming artists as well as established hit makers. Velvet Groove have played at many highly prestigious venues internationally including; Kempinski Istanbul (formerly the Ottoman Palace), Burj Khalifa (Dubai), Tivoli Palacio de Seteais Sintra (Portugal), National Entertainment Centre Birmingham, Phoenix 2 superyacht, The Sage (Newcastle) Four Seasons and Dorchester on Park Lane - the list goes on. Having come up on the London music scene and been students in the US and UK their all-round passion and professionalism have seen them grow solidly for 15 years. They use the best singers, the tightest rhythm section players and the classiest musicians around. Their standard Line-up is a 7-piece with Male & Female vocals, Drums, Bass, Keys, Guitar & Sax and they can provide anywhere from 5-piece to 13-piece lineups.
