Xotic Steel Rhythms are an extremely entertaining band of talented and experienced steel pan musicians who perform different genres of music from Pop, Reggae, Latin, Calyspo, Ballad, Soca to name but a few. This fantastic band covers songs from the 70s to present day they include songs from the likes of Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley, Ed Sherran, Sam Smith, Lord Kitchener, John Lennon, Bill Withers, Frank Sinatra, The Temptations, The Mighty Sparrow, Machel Montano, Adele, Rihanna and Pharrell Williams. The list goes on, mixing the old hits with the new all popular songs guaranteed to entertain. They have performed at Weddings, Corporate event, private parties, Birthday Parties, Festivals, Workshops, Tribute events and Caribbean themed events the Steel drum is featured for this option to give your event that authentic tropical vibe Various options are available to suit the requirements Xotic Steel Rhythms can perform from Solo up to 5 piece band, line up for full acoustic option consist of 3 Steel Drums, Drums, and Percussions or the Semi Acoustic option line up is 2 Steel Drums, Drums, Bass and Keyboards ( Vocals also included ) Xotic Steel Rhythms is fully functional with own transport, PA, Public Liability Insured and all equipment Pat tested.

I booked Desmond the group's steel drum musician and he was brilliant. I asked for him to play on a grassy area outside my venue, so that my guests could hear him playing as they made their way to the reception. At half time when all the guests were inside eating and drinking, Desmond and Roger took it upon themselves to move the equipment inside, so that the music could carry on being enjoyed (good thinking). I had a few problems with an earlier booking that I had to cancel due to lack of contact. I had no problems at all with Vanessa. At all stages she kept in contact with me and was also very kind. Her colleague Roger introduced himself to me at my reception and gave Vanessa's best wishes. Desmond was very sweet and the music he played was delightful and Roger was very thoughtful, making sure I was happy with everything. Hiring Xotic was definitely a highlight of the evening and I would recommend them for any social occasion. Thank you all for being a part of my wedding day.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

“We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.”

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.”

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

“Yes, absolutely! I bring my own instrument to play acoustically.”

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc. ”
