I have performed for over 25 years so have a wealth of experience and can help you shape your music choices if required. For weddings, music can support: - Guest arrival and bespoke ceremonies; - Drinks receptions; - Wedding breakfasts; - The party (with upbeat songs to dance to and DJ sets in between live performances) For private events and corporate bookings, I work closely with you to make sure you have music that suits your clientele and environment and timings are all agreed. I can provide DJ sets in between live performance sets. My style is popular covers, from ballads and easy listening songs for drinks receptions and wedding guest arrival, to songs to dance to (with added electronic drums for that upbeat vibe.) I also have a portable white grand piano shell which is a replica of a real baby grand piano. Do check that you have space for this if you'd like it (we need around 10 foot x 10 foot to include the PA system.) I have £10m public liability insurance should your venue require it and PA tested equipment. I arrive two hours before the start time for a wedding and 1.5 hours for a private event, roughly but we can discuss timings upon booking. I am based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, so mileage is charged from and back to here and is added to/included in the quote. I'd love to discuss your requirements and hope you like my showreel. We hired Vanessa for our Wedding as our previous singers cancelled very last minute and she was absolutely incredible! Not only was she available at such short notice but she made sure to make our day extra special. We had great communication throughout the booking process right up until the day, she was so lovely and kind and understanding, she interacted with all of our guests and even the children were up and dancing. Vanessa was truly incredible and we cannot wait until we are able to find another reason to hire her again! We have heard nothing but lovely lovely comments from near enough all of our guests and some have already requested her details so they can book her for their events. Vanessa was a fantastic choice as our wedding musician. She came all the way to Scotland to perform at our reception, and, at short notice, kindly agreed to sing at our ceremony as well. Her singing was beautiful. She offered a great range of song choices, even creating her own version of our favourite song especially for the occasion. Vanessa was always genuine as well as professional at every stage of the planning. She was patient when discussing the travel arrangements before following through with an outstanding performance on the day. Her encouraging spirit throughout the event was most appreciated. Vanessa was just what we were looking for from a live musician - she did a beautiful job on our custom pieces, she had great stage presence and a lovely voice, and just generally seemed so excited to be performing at our wedding. Clients really enjoy my voice. I get many comments about singing in pitch and what a lovely quality my voice has. I have been called "a CD" before :-).

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I can accommodate time changes but if event timings become longer than the agreed booking, by 30 minutes or more, a fee may be charged for the time. Thank you.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

No. I don't do sets so live music is provided for the duration of your booking.

How much time do you need to set up?

Without the grand piano shell: 1 - 1.5 hours and with the grand piano shell: 1.5 - 2 hours.

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes I am.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes absolutely. I have a large repertoire so you are welcome to choose your favourites. This can be emailed to you.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes I am. I have a Yamaha keyboard and also a white grand piano shell.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes I can. I can learn your processional (entrance song), your recessional (exit song), first dance or last dance.
