Velours are a collective of seasoned performers, based in the UK's north music centrale, Manchester. Bonding over a shared love of classic soul, funk and disco music, the group formed in time with the completion of a music degree and are committed to delivering an excellent, show-stopping live performance that will have any crowd dancing. Each member is versed in range of genres and involved in one, if not multiple original and collaborative music projects. From heavy metal, to alternative rock and modern soul, the are no stones left unturned in the performance repertoire of the band! With a focus on those timeless classics by familiar and loved names including - David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Jackson 5, Cheryl Lynn and Diana Ross Our repertoire extends far beyond the 70s, also bringing pop anthems by the likes of - Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars, Sabrina Carpenter, Amy Winehouse and Shania Twain. With some notice, the band are also open to requests and specifications, should your favourite tunes be absent from our setlist. We look forward to performing at your event !

Customer questions

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, we do not currently have a more than one lead vocalist in the group and will therefore only accept dates where our frontwoman is available

Do you have different line-up options?

The instrumetalist lineup may vary slightly as we do have backup performers in place, should anyone from our group be unavailable for booked dates

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Generally, we are flexible to adapt to changes in timing on a short notice, so long as the booking date in question remains the same.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes, we are able to do this without any problem and without additional charge. Should you wish to request the service for your event, please let us know in advance your musical preference.

How much time do you need to set up?

We will aim to arrive and set up approximately between one and 1.5 hours prior to performance time. After a brief soundcheck we can provide a free playlist serivice to set the atmosphere!
