An energetic Indie/Rock 4 piece band hailing from Norwich, England. Originally formed in 2009 as a bunch of like-minded kids! With guts and determination, they have become the go-to “alternative” option for weddings and parties alike. They have a wealth of experience gigging up and down this wonderful country of ours. Putting on a brilliant show is what they do! Covering those Indie classics like The Killers - Mr Brightside, Naive by the Kooks and Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis. they touch on those Britpop bangers by Blur, Oasis and Pulp but also bring a healthy dose of ROCK! With classics from The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Foo Fighters and even Metallica! Not quite hit the spot!? How about a bit of punk angst with Greenday, Bowling for Soup and Fallout Boy... or maybe just some classic pop from Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Backstreet Boys or Ed Sheeran? From start to finish this band were amazing. Andy talked us through the whole evening before the event and was able to make changes based on the genres of music we preferred. The whole team were friendly and professional and kept everyone on the dance floor. We loved the communication and banter with guests and their ability to read a room to keep all dancing. Our guests have been raving about the band and asking for set lists ever since! We would 110% recommend them and have them back for any future events.

Uprising are a great band, we really enjoyed the music at our daughters wedding. Andy the lead singer was the main contact before the event and very helpful. Overall very happy and would highly recommend.

I could not recommend uprising enough as a wedding band. Everyone of our guests have said how incredible they were and they really made the evening what we wanted. We have nothing but glowing reviews for them and I would not hesitate to book them again!

where to start ... firstly they are all great professionals that excel in what they do. a great bunch of lads that put on the best show for our wedding. communication was always brilliant, they even learnt and performed our first dance for us that we can't thank them enough for. would highly recommend anyone wanting a top class band they make whatever function your hosting amazing. we will definitely be hiring these guys again and be going to all there local gigs . thanks uprising for making our wedding perfect .

We hired Uprising for our wedding and could not have been happier. Andy and his guys brought the energy and atmosphere to our evening and without a doubt made the party an absolute hit with all our guests. We could say many great things about them but want to point out 2 things in particular that we think really encapsulates the professionalism these guys demonstrated. 20 miles into their journey the boys in true Rock & Roll fashion, broke down on the side of the motorway. Despite this incredibly frustrating and stressful situation, they delivered an unbelievable performance and you wouldn’t even have known the difficulties that they faced before arriving at our wedding. We believe that a true skill at any event that has many different guests with varying ages, is the ability to read the room and perform songs that keep people invested and involved. Andy and the boys were able to keep within musical theme for us whilst performing just the right songs to ensure everyone from friends to parents to grandparents got on the dancefloor. If you want a rock/indie-esque band but are slightly worried on how that could go down, you have nothing to fear as these guys know how to handle a varied crowd. For us Uprising are now part of our history and we can’t wait to see them perform again. Rock on.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

ENERGY! We've taken all that energy and do our best to put it into every one of our performances! We try our absolute best to make you feel like you have the front row seat at the biggest & best gig you've attended in years!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We've been performing live now for over 11 years and we have played more pubs, clubs, restaurants and hotels, wedding venues, and converted barns then we can shake a stick at! Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

We always endeavour to ensure that the musicians depicted in our promotional videos are those booked for your gig, there may be extenuating circumstances when this may not be possible. Any “dep” used, will have been pre-auditioned to make sure the standards are maintained, our reputation and the success of your event are paramount to us as professionals.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up is - vocals, guitar, bass guitar and drums. We can offer a first dance played on the piano as we have members who can play multiple instruments. However, we do not have other line-ups currently on offer.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always aim to be flexible around your event, please keep in touch and let us know as soon as possible, we’ll always do our best to accommodate any changes

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely! We get asked this regularly and this is so common we decided to include it free of charge!

How much time do you need to set up?

Between 30-60 minutes depending on location, ease of access etc - as soon as we’ve completed a sound check we are then happy to play any playlists to help the day and set the atmosphere.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

By all means, we are open to suggestions and requests, in terms of song order, we have spent years learning what songs work well together, and compliment each other, and spent many hours creating setlists that keep people partying!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes - there is a larger gig option too - For anything over 200 people we would need to employ a larger system to ensure the quality of the performance.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We always give the option of 2 requests (as long as we have at least a month if we need to learn them). This is included as standard in our package.
