The band were great to deal with in terms of logistics and we were very grateful that they learned our first song for us! The band’s set could have been more tailored to our suggested playlist, but otherwise fab!

Thanks Charles, we had a great time performing for you at Drapers Hall! We performed all of the requests you made from the live band sets (1st dance- Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You, September, 2 x Abba songs, a couple of songs with a Latin vibe = Livin la Vida loca/spice up your life etc…) The playlist music that you sent us was played during the break and after the live performance, maybe you weren’t in the room and missed something? You guys were great fun and even after the venue music curfew was in place I’m sure half of London could hear your guests belting out Angels a cappella! Thanks again for booking our band and best of luck for the future

Upbeat Street were exactly what I wanted for our wedding. Good communication before hand, no fuss setup while we had our wedding breakfast, and the performance was incredible! They learned a stripped down version of In My Life as our first dance then launched into an amazing set list that appealed to all age groups of guest. As the night drew to a close, they seemed to pick the energy levels up further, finishing with hit after hit. Guests dancing inside had a fantastic time, and those sat outside in the garden enjoying the warm evening listening in, all said how great they sounded. We could not be happier with them!

We had Upbeat Street play for our wedding on the 26th June 2021 and we can honestly say it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very start they were nothing but professional and kind; they also happily moved our date when we had to postpone due to Covid. They listened to our set requests (a heavy dose of soul/Motown with some more modern classics to end the evening) and learnt and sung our chosen first dance song which brought us to tears upon hearing it on our wedding day. Quite literally everyone we spoke to commented on how amazing the band were - they really got the party going and kept everyone on the dance floor all evening. We couldn't have wished for more and will forever be grateful for making it such a perfect day. Thank you so much. We couldn't recommend you more! Helen & Alex xx

‘Upbeat Street Band played at our wedding on 30 May 2021. We cannot recommend this band enough!! Justin was so helpful in the months leading up to the wedding, helping to organise the timings of the day and willing to cater to the ever changing covid restrictions. The acoustic duo played during the ceremony and drinks reception and the music was beautiful, the acoustic music made the ceremony feel very relaxed and personal as we got to choose the songs that were played. The full band played during the evening and they were AWESOME! Justin, Craig, Charlie and Carlo were interactive with our guests and everyone was up on the dance floor for the majority of the night! Our guests loved the mixture of music that was played and said they’d never heard anyone sing a Whitney Houston song live as well as Charlie did (she does have one amazing voice)! Thanks guys for giving us one big party and letting us appreciate live music again, even though we only had 30 guests, it certainly didn’t feel like it with Upbeat Street Band playing.’

"Amazing musicians, fantastic vocalist with a great range... really bring energy into the room, very versatile and full of charisma, They really know how to keep the crowd dancing!"

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

“We strive to make sure the line-up you see is what you get on the night. We do have pre-auditioned 'dep' musicians available in case a band member falls ill or is unavailable (although this is a rarity). As a professional band our reputation means everything so you can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.”

Do you have different line-up options?

We can provide a 3 piece option where space is a bit cosy or if trying to keep the budget down, We also provide an acoustic duo option for those more intimate moments or more relaxed vibe, a popular choice for the ceremony, drinks reception, meal or before a main event.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

“We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.” It’s often the case some things overrun on the day, we try to structure our timings to allow for this, if we have to start a little later or shorten our break it’s no problem!

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

"Yes this is a free service that we offer when booking the band, this can be provided shortly after we arrive and start setting up, during breaks and after the main performance if you would like us to provide this for longer as an add on service just ask.

How much time do you need to set up?

“We usually set up about 1.5 hours before the performance, as soon as our PA & speakers are set up we can provide a free playlist service whilst we finish setting up the rest of our equipment, this helps set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!”

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Of course! We have a large and varied set list that caters for all, Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

"yes, we provide all high quality PA sound system and moving band lighting to enhance the performance" Lighting also covers the dance floor area in front of the band and enough to fill every wedding venue we have played at.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

“If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you free of charge, as long as its suitable for a band and we have enough notice to learn it well"
