Since 1994 Ultraswing have worked towards achieving a sound and repertoire which reflects the great gypsy swing and European musical traditions. The band originally formed through Brighton's jazz music scene. The trio discovered a shared passion for the music of Django Reinhardt and the wider gypsy jazz scene. Their commitment to performing live music of style and quality over the years has been consistent and much appreciated by many audiences and within many contexts – be it a jazz club, pub, music festival, wedding reception, dinner party, private celebration, corporate entertainment or open air market in France. Whether in a lively party with dancing or a more intimate event, you will find Ultraswing's infectious sound totally suitable. Their repertoire can be tailored to suit your style of function and its guests. Ultraswing are available to play live jazz music as a duo, trio or quartet with the addition of violin, accordian or a wind instrument. Arrived on time to set up. Great background music. Able to adapt to taking the location of event inside. Very accommodating and happy to set up where asked. Kids loved the music and had a little dance. Really great band and friendly guys. Highly recommend!

Ultraswing were fantastic. Everything about the booking was perfect. Communication and organisation before the gig was great; they were fine about being made to wait a little before taking the stage, and played a beautiful set that really added to the whole event in exactly the way we wanted. Great guys, lovely music. Highly recommended. Thanks to Encore.
