This Glasgow-born musician swapped the driech drizzle of Scotland for the sunny shores of Sydney and hasn’t looked back. The Ukulele Scotsman has the innate ability to connect with his audience through his personality, warmth and humour, plus a fabulous range of songs spanning from Celtic classics, singalong faves, and humorous ditties from his country of origin! We want to adopt him as an honorary Taswegian! Jackie Anifandis The Launceston Ukulele Jamboree

Thank you Graeme for bringing some excellent live music to our wedding ceremony. With such a wide repertoire, Graeme was able to include 'something for everyone'. We had a song we specifically requested and Graeme was most obliging in preparing it. He sang our aisle song so beautifully and really created such a good vibe. Graeme created just the perfect atmosphere for our ceremony and was a whole lot of fun. We highly recommend Graeme, The Ukulele Scotsman. If we are ever in need for a singer again we will definitely book him. All the guests were impressed with his professionalism and lively singing voice, he was amazing! Brooke and Joe

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Australian Celtic Festival 2022 and invited back to be one of the headlining acts for the festival in 2023. Also the Scottish Weekend in the West at Overnewton Castle, Victoria

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I will do my best to accommodate any changes to dates but please provide as much notice as possible. For all events, I understand things rarely go to plan therefore if you have booked me for the evening Im happy to be flexible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely either my own playlist or happy to work with you to create a personalised one for between sets. If you would like to hire the pa system for after the gig I'm happy to do so and can agree a fee at the time of booking.

How much time do you need to set up?

I typically require 1 hour to set up prior to the performance however I can be flexible and set things up early with music playing via the pa system prior to my performance.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

I have many set lists to suit events which have been designed over the years. I'm happy to include specific songs you would like however quite often it works best to have a changeable setlist to suit the mood and feel of the evening. If you would prefer something more specific I'm happy to talk through this prior to booking.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes, I have everything you will need for any event.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

It is possible to learn new songs provided there is enough time to rehearse and play it to a standard you would want at your event. There would be an additional fee of around $50 per song to cover the additional work and rehearsal required.
