Elizaveta Tyun is a Russian violinist who has performed as a concert soloist on many world stages, including Royal Albert Hall, St James Church Piccadilly, Muth Concert Hall of Vienna, the Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Mikhailovsky Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the Glazunov Hall of St. Petersburg Conservatoire, and many other venues across the UK, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Italy and Poland. During her time in the UK Elizaveta has had the honour to perform for members of the Royal Family on several occasions, and has also frequently appeared as a soloist with British orchestras. Miss Tyun has won First prizes in a number of international competitions and was a Category Finalist of the BBC Young Musician 2014. In 2016 she won the First Prize of Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition and was awarded a performance at Royal Albert Hall. Music has been her greatest passion since the age of five after she had her first violin lessons, and pursuing a soloist career became her dream at the age of eight after the first big performance experience with a symphony orchestra from Lindau, Germany, in The Marble Palace of St. Petersburg. In the same year Elizaveta entered the Specialist Music School of St. Petersburg Conservatoire. In 2012 she became a student of Chetham's School of Music (Manchester) in the class of Jan Repko. Two years later she was awarded a full entrance scholarship, kindly provided by Soiree d'Or Committee, to study at the Royal College of Music. After graduating from her Bachelor course with a First Class Honours degree as a student of Dr Felix Andrievsky, Elizaveta entered the Master of Arts programme at the Royal Academy of Music as a student of maestro Jack Liebeck, admitted to Academy entrance scholarship and supported by Stephen Bell Charitable Trust. Aside from her solo career, Elizaveta is also a very active orchestral player, having led both Chetham's Symphony Orchestra and RCM Symphony Orchestra, as well as working with maestros such as Sir Simon Rattle, Bernard Haitink, John Wilson and Maxim Vengerov, and performing in venues like Buckingham Palace, Cadogan Hall, St John's Smith Square etc. In 2018 Elizaveta has shared the Barbican stage with both London Symphony Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra for three broadcasted concerts.

Liza played in our wedding reception about a week ago, with short notice. Liza was just awesome from the initial introduction, understanding our plan, preferences (which music pieces, her dress), and getting things organised. She really integrated with our reception and made it a much nicer and memorable experience for us and our guests. Plus she was very professional, approachable and talented. 10 out of 10! I would love to have her play in another occasion in the future.

Elizaveta’s performance at our graduation ceremony was exactly what we needed and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! She thankfully stepped in with short notice for our event and truly helped make it a fantastic day for all our graduates. I would highly recommend her for any events and look forward to working with her again in the future.

The first time I heard Elizaveta was when I was playing in the orchestra for a concerto performance. I was captivated by her incredible sound and musicianship. I immediately resolved to engage her as a soloist with my orchestra in Reading. The prospect of working with such a powerful musician can be intimidating, but I needn’t have been apprehensive as Liza was such an easy soloist to connect with. She is very clear about what she needs from the orchestra and conductor, whilst being extremely accommodating, combining assertiveness regarding her interpretation with the awareness and grace to be influenced by the orchestra. The orchestra responded warmly to her friendly and unassuming manner, yet most of the communication needed no words; her playing inspires and speaks for itself. I’ve also had the great pleasure of hearing Elizaveta perform chamber music, which was equally satisfying and memorable.
