True Steel forms a unique blend of steelpan musicians bringing musical journeys that cannot be forgotten. All musicians of our band have been performing steelpan music together for over 10 years. When it comes to our music, we have hundreds of different songs in our repertoire and we play a bit of everything from traditional calypso and reggae to classical and R&B. Our aim has always been to make music fun for everyone of all ages and backgrounds. As a band, we specialise in just about every occasion. Most often, we perform at weddings, birthdays, private parties, funerals, anniversaries, community events and corporate events. We play as a duo, trio, quartet or quintet.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line ups are as followed: Duo / 2 piece Trio / 3 piece (recommended) Quartet / 4 piece Quintet / 5 piece

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Please gives us no less than 24 hours notice.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually around 10 mins if you book us as a three piece band but this could be longer depending on the venue access and parking.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes we can perform “pan-around-neck” but please tell us in advanced and keep in mind that this will cost extra.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Yes. There may be a good chance of us already knowing a requested song but please let us know in advanced if you would like specific songs played. We may have to include additional costs for each song we don’t know that you request due to rehearsal times.

I hired True Steel Band for an Open Mic and Spoken Words Event. They arrived on time, engaged with the audience, and could play a variety of song requests to match the event. They were brilliant and I would highly recommend them.

The Band were excellent and added something extra to the day’s celebrations. The music was appreciated by both young and old, guests were smiling and feet tapping. We could not have made a better choice, truly professional and I would hire them again.
