About Tre

Highly experienced performer who loves nothing more than bringing people together with music and getting the crowd moving and singing along!
Singing guitarist
East Grinstead

Singing has always felt so good to me that I know I was born to share my voice. I love performing and the challenge of expressing the best of myself to inspire and enliven the audience. My musical taste is very diverse but I'd say my preferred vocal style is folky, soulful and emotive. I'm very versatile, however, and enjoy singing a wide range of styles including rock, indie, hip hop/rap, opera, musical theatre, the list is endless... I started learning the guitar and the violin in school at 8 years old. I worked my way through the violin grades and went on to play in various orchestras, including an orchestral tour of Italy at 14. I played both instruments as part of my local church ensemble regularly throughout my childhood. I was inspired to start playing percussion when was 18 and become involved in various performances, mainly with djembe and conga drums, accompanying bands and DJ's at various fetes, festivals and parties. Over the years it became apparent to me that singing is where my true passion lies, so I decided to shift my focus and pursued vocal tuition and training. As part of my varied career I have worked as a music leader in my own primary school, teaching basic songs/hymns to the children and accompanying them during regular assemblies and church masses. More recently I became a music tutor in a private school for autistic children and provided one on one keyboard, guitar and vocal lessons for young children and teenagers. I enjoyed helping them foster their love of music and giving some of them the opportunity to perform for the very first time. I have become involved with various bands as a vocalist including 80's tribute acts. I played Susan Ann Sulley, as part of 'The Human League Tribute', in various shows during a tour of Northern England, in 2019. The highlight was a large and enthusiastic crowd, at Tribfest in Yorkshire, who couldn't get enough of 'Don't You Want Me'. Currently, I'm part of a well established classic rock band (lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist/percussionist) performing regularly in and around Sussex. I'm also lead vocalist/percussionist for a more acoustic pop/soul quartet based in Portsmouth. Alongside this I have focused on solo vocal/guitar performance and songwriting. I have gained experience recording in professional studios and have enjoyed performing my own material at various venues in and around London. The first time I did so in 2019 I discovered how amazing it feels. I have plenty more to release in due course. This summer (2023) I was invited to perform as a soloist at Nostock Festival in Herefordshire. It was such a fun experience that I intend to incorporate more festivals in future. I love playing well known covers because familiar music brings people together. It's such a wonderful feeling when the crowd are engaged and start singing along. My mission: to spread as much joy and happiness as possible, to as many people as possible, through music, song and dance, in celebration of love, life and this incredible universe! Thank you for taking the time to read my biography. I'd love the opportunity to share the music in my heart with you. Tre

I worked as the booking coordinator for the stage Tre played on and she provided exactly the vibe required on a Sunday at Nostock’s Slippery Slope stage. She did really well, we (and about 30 attendees to the stage at that time) were impressed with her vocal ability and cool 90’s song choices. Crowd For some revellers the urge to sing along was too irresistible! Personally I’m a big fan or her originals having heard one of her tracks on the radio and was pleased to be able to hear the live version. Thanks again Tre, you were vibrant, organised, professional and the feedback was great. It was good to have you on board.

Customer questions

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

I always try my best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let me know and I'll do all I can to accommodate.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and I actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.

How much time do you need to set up?

I usually set up about 30 mins to 1 hour before the performance time. As soon as everything is set up I can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for the live performance.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes, if there's anything you really want to hear let me know or you can just tell me the genre or styles that interest you the most and let me come up with the set list. If there's a song you really want to hear not on my list it's worth asking in advance as I may know it, or it may be easy enough to learn in the time available.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. I can offer a fully acoustic set or bring my own amp for mic and electric guitar.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Maybe, yes. As mentioned above just let me know asap if there's something you really want to hear and I'll see if it can be done. I may already know it so it's definitely worth asking. If not and it will be a time consuming endeavour I may ask an additional small fee to make it happen.
