Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
Our clients, audience and friends enjoy our professionalism. We give a slick, neat and tidy performance that is both entertaining and enjoyable to listen to. We are engaging and like to think we portray our music in a convincing and unique way.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We have been lucky to perform at a variety of venues in London. Most notably Regent Hall on Oxford Street and the beautiful Charlton House in Greenwich.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
We are inspired by the great brass ensembles of the world! Most importantly the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble who set the bar for how Brass Chamber Music should be performed. Since Philips passing, the group became London Brass who to this day, are one of our idols! We also have a fondness for German Brass and Superbrass.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Currently our performances at Regent Hall on Oxford Street are our most high profile events. Outside of the group itself as individuals we performed on and off the West End on a variety of shows, performed with top Orchestras and travelled the world with our instruments.
Do you have different line-up options?
We offer typically two different line-ups. Full 10 Piece brass and then a Brass Quintet(5).
The 10 Piece consists of 4 Trumpets, 4 Trombones, 1 Horn and 1 Tuba.
The Quintet consists of 2 Trumpets, 1 Trombone, 1 Horn and 1 Tuba.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to accommodate time changes to make life easier for everyone involved. We do prefer to know sooner rather than later as it can be more challenging if the timings change very close to the event.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Due to the nature of our ensemble, this is not something we typically offer.
How much time do you need to set up?
Depending of if there is time to rehearse prior to the performance. We need 30 minutes to set up and then we typically would like another hour to rehearse.
1.5hr to include rehearsal
30 mins without rehearsal
Can you roam around while you perform?
We are a static group but can stand if needed
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
You absolutely can! We are happy to play any requests from our song list. Should there be an additional piece of music you would like to hear, but an arrangement is not publicly available, we are happy to sort this for £50.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Your quote includes us, the music and music stands. Being a classical ensemble we typically don't need any more than this.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
We are happy to learn new music at £50 per piece if the piece is yet to be published as an arrangement for our group. We do require time to learn new music so knowing this in advance is a great help.
If the music is published and available to buy, this would be an add on to the fee depending on how much the piece is.
