Customer questions
Do you have different line-up options?
Yes, our basic 6 piece is trumpet, trombone, alto
sax, tenor sax, sousaphone/tuba and drums. We can double up on horn parts and drums to form lineups of up to 9.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
As we are an acoustic ensemble we can't provide any amplification or DJing services.
How much time do you need to set up?
We need 15 minutes to setup under normal circumstances.
Can you roam around while you perform?
Yes! That's what we like to do!
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
To some extent we can tailor our repertoire to your event. We're happy to play anything on our list and to consider suggestions for new songs to add to it.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
We do not bring any equipment beyond instruments and music stands. We do not require seating for the performance as we will be on our feet/dancing!
Can you learn song requests before the event?
If our schedule permits. Please do ask! We may have to charge a bit extra for arrangement and rehearsal.
What do your clients love most about your performances?
People love our brass arrangements and choice of disco and pop tunes, delivered with characteristic flair.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
Kelburn Garden Party festival, The Waverley steamboat, Jupiter Artlands, The Bield, and various quirky wedding and function venues, generally outdoors.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Hot 8 Brass band, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Probably the Kelburn Garden Party which also saw us playing on the boat for the after party!
