Tracy is a talented vocalist and guitarist from Cape Town, South Africa. Back in Cape Town, Tracy performed regularly in the local jazz scene as well as recorded and composed for international musicians at Milestone Studios. With her own project, Tracy was also a three time finalist of the Barleycorn Songwriters' Competition. After spending time in the South of France and becoming more familiar with French music, Tracy discovered her love for performing French tunes and returned to play various concerts at Alliance Française du Cap. Moving over to the UK in 2020, she is now based in SE London and performs regularly at venues such as The Clarendon Hotel in Blackheath. James is a London-based guitarist, composer and producer whose work draws on an array of styles including jazz, rock and folk. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2019 and has since performed and recorded with a number of artists in the U.K, most notably at venues such as the Barbican Concert Hall, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and The Royal Albert Hall. He is a member of jazz-rock trio St. Barbe, whose debut E.P Shapeless garnered support from Spotify’s editorial playlists, accumulating over three hundred thousand streams and earning him a feature in Guitar Magazine Tracy and James have been playing in various projects together since the start of the year, including Tracy's own project of original music, and have performed at wine tastings and other events around London.

Tracy & James were beautifully perfect. From the communication when booking & planning the event, through to on the day when performing for our friends & family. Both Tracy & James are extremely talented musicians. We would highly recommend!

Tracy Norman was a pleasure to work with. She communicated well (specifically adapting her repertoire to the event), arrived punctually, and was friendly to my whole team as well as the audience. She is a talented musician and her performance was extremely professional. It is clear that she has years of experience performing and working with a range of people in different settings.

Customer questions

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up is generally vocals and guitar. For a trio we would add double bass or trumpet and there is the option for a fuller band including drums, horn player and keys.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We try to be as flexible as possible to help ensure your event runs smoothly. Let us know if timings change before the event and we'll try our best to make it work.

How much time do you need to set up?

For a duo gig we like to keep at least 40 minutes to an hour to set up and for a full band that would be up to 1.5 hours.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
