Tom Statham is a solo pianist who has an extensive repertoire of his own interpretations of popular music to accommodate your requirements. - He has a background playing in wedding/function bands as well as working as a session player for various artists, so he is a versatile musician and can play many different styles. As a solo pianist he creates own authentic arrangements often combining different styles of playing. - Don’t worry if you don’t have access to a piano at your venue, I have a professional portable keyboard rig setup and speakers that I travel with to accommodate these situations. Tom provided the perfect ambience to one of our corporate Christmas West End events at the Edwardian Hotel, Manchester. He performed some lovely background music whilst guests had dinner, I’d highly recommend! He was a pleasure to work with and very professional at all times.

We booked Tom for our wedding at the Magheramorne Estate in Ireland. He played during our ceremony and register signing. We would highly recommend him if you're looking for a wedding pianist. He was so accommodating from the initial enquiry stage and made us feel really comfortable on the day itself. His playing moved me so much.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

I try to include all of the classics as well as less obvious popular song choices, so I've always been praised for my song choices and wide variety of material. I rarely copy a piece of music, I always tend to create my own arrangement of it, to give a song another dimension.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Probably at Band on The Wall in Manchester with a band that release their own music.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

No problem, I fully understand the logistical challenges on a wedding day, I can usually be flexible and always leave a significant amount of of between another booking in case of this.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

How much time do you need to set up?

15 - 20 minutes

If I have a piano at my venue, are you happy to perform on that?

Yes this is most convenient for me, as there is no setup time required then. I would check with the venue that it is at least tuned regularly however.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Yes of course, I am also very happy to take requests.

Are you able to bring your own piano or keyboard?

Yes I have my own professional keyboard setup should it be required.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely! depending on the song there may be an additional fee required for time taken to learn the piece.
