Tom McCluskey

Tom began playing cello at the age of 7; by 14, he had gained a seat with the National Youth String Academy and two years later featured with his electric cello ensemble Nexus on MTV with singer Jayce Lewis. He regularly arranges music for ensembles, which has been performed at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall and was commissioned to write and perform music for the première of Finn der Fisch in Lörrach, Switzerland. In 2011 he gained an entrance scholarship to RWCMD to study with Alice Neary, performing regularly as part of the college's orchestras as well as in various chamber groups and festivals.
