Tom began studying the cornet at the tender age of 6. Soon transferring to the trumpet, he became involved with his secondary school concert band, symphony orchestra and 10 piece brass ensemble. At the University of Bristol, Tom established himself as one of the most active trumpet players at the university, performing as principal trumpet in the university symphony orchestra, symphonic winds, brass quintet and as principal cornet in the university brass band. Tom has also performed for several musical and operatic productions at the university and at various functions and events as a member of the Bristol Hornstars. Doubling on flugelhorn, Tom is looking for both pit band and orchestral opportunities.
