Titus Maz

Passionate about music I started playing classical guitar at around a very early age and it wasn't long before i discovered the electric guitar. Throughout the years I have always had great satisfaction in developing both my acoustic fingerpicking playing and electric guitar styles, combining the study of Jazz, Blues and Rock. Active on stage since 1994, first in Italy and Europe, I then had trips to USA from 1996 to 2015 to attend courses and seminars at MI, and for recording studio / collaborations. During my time in North East of Italy, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of Blues and Jazz at CAMM and got involved in some interesting bands touring too ( Talkin'Acid , Funk project etc. ). The same year I successfully completed some Jazz Improvisation courses at Berklee online ( Gary Burton ). Here in London I committed myself to study Jazz, Composition, Performance and Production at LCCM Uni, achieving a BA (with Honours). I also had the chance to do other masterclasses and courses with Pianist Barry Harris, Mike Outram, Guthrie Govan, Peter Bernstein, Mike Stern, and more. London now remains my home and I'm busy dedicating myself to several live/studio projects : Titus Maz Quartet, Mind The Cat funk trio, Music of The Soul, Unmuted Live sessions, Baby Powder, Measures Quartet TECO and other collabs with singers and artists such as Valentina, Mikyla Cara , Hannah Mei, Wezi, Ace Motif, Siobhan , plus my solo work. My playing is rooted in Blues, Soul, Rock but seen from a Jazz perspective too.
