Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
They love the fact that I'm a female saxophonist, which is intriguing to them. They also love my song choices.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
All Nations Social Club (Gloucester)
The Jam House (Birmingham)
The Lounge at Boldmere (Sutton Coldfield)
Lymelight Boulevard (Newcastle-under-Lyme)
The H Suite (Birmingham)
The Legacy Centre (Birmingham)
Cobden Hotel (Birmingham)
Ibis Hotel (Birmingham)
Clayton Hotel (Birmingham)
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Sonny Rollins, King Curtis, Gerald Albright, Pamela Williams, Dave Koz and Anna Brooks. There are so many others, but these are my top favs.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Playing for the Jamaican High Commissioner at a dinner reception.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
As long as we can discuss the amended timings before the event date, there shouldn't be a problem.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes, as long as we can discuss music tastes, I can definitely accommodate while your guests are arriving and in between sets.
How much time do you need to set up?
If I'm using my own PA, etc., approximately an hour and half. This will include setting up the equipment, then a sound check. If I am using the DJ's system, then approximately 30 - 60 minutes to gauge levels and sound check.
Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?
Yes. I'm constantly adding to the playlist, so an updated list is always available. This also depends on what is required, e.g., background music, entertainment for diners, playing the bride down the aisle, bride and groom signing the register. I have songs for all occasions.
Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?
Yes, I generally ask to run my cables through the DJ's system, but if that's not available, I can bring my own PA setup. All I need is access to a power supply.
Can you learn specific pieces before the event?
Yes, as long as I am given enough time to learn it/them. There will be an extra charge for this service.
