Tim Quicke

Tim moved from London to study at the RCS on the undergraduate Jazz Degree under the tuition of Tommy Smith and Tom Macniven, among many other great teachers. He then spent the next year, after graduating, in Malaysia where he was teaching trumpet at the British International School of Kuala Lumpur. During his time in Malaysia he had the chance to play with some of the greatest players on the scene there such as with 'NewSound', a project by pianist John Dip Silas, with the 'Patrick Terebrack Quintet' and 'The Ashton Moore organisation' - lead by detroit born/Tokyo based singer Ashton Moore. Tim now lives back in Glasgow where he plays trumpet in many different settings including various big bands, Oohmpa group 'Brauhaus Brass', reggae/ cumbia crossover group 'Maxi Roots in Cumbia' and his own new project 'Trucklemunch!'. Tim has previously also played with, among others, bands/groups/artists such as: Fat Suit, Bobok, Skavengers, LSSO, Baby Cheetah and with pop idol star Darius!
