Tim, a classically trained guitarist, has been playing for over 20 years, performing at venues such as The Sage Gateshead, Sunderland Empire Theatre, The Tyne Journal Theatre, as well as numerous festivals across the UK and Europe. His playing covers all genres, from classical, jazz and latin to afrobeat, pop-rock and various traditional folk tunes from Scotland, Ireland & Northumberland. In addition, Tim is happy to learn and produce a solo arrangement of particular songs which are special to you, provided enough notice is given. Available solo, in duo format (with flute, clarinet, saxophone, double bass, and many more options) or with larger ensembles, which often custom-selected for specific event requests. Get in touch with your specific requirements.

Tim played during our wedding. Set the perfect mood just as we had discussed prior and played fantastically. Would recommend!

Tim was amazing. He replied to our messages in good time and made everything about the music on our big day go smoothly. We have already recommended Tim to a friend who is getting married next year! Thanks again!

Thanks Tim for playing so wonderfully at our wedding service. You played everything we asked for and it really made the day for us! We've already had guests asking to book you for their own weddings!

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

My energy, ear for melody and in some cases (such as wedding ceremonies), my ability to play quietly!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

I am influenced by talented players from various genres. However, I have a particular respect for artists who cross genres with ease, or can handle anything that's thrown at them, such as Ian Anderson, David Bryne, Peter Gabriel and guitar players such as Jan Akkerman, John Williams, Steve Howe and jazz player/session guitarist Barney Kessell.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible, in order to ensure your event runs smoothly. If there are any slight changes to your timings, just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

This is not something which is usually required during daytime service / reception bookings, but get in touch to discuss the details of your event if you feel this is needed.

How much time do you need to set up?

Please allow me access to the performance location 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance. As a solo performer, it doesn't take me long to set up - provided I have access to a plug socket nearby, if needed.

Can I pick the pieces you play from the set list?

My set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to help ensure guests have an amazing time. However, I am more than happy to chat with you prior to the event to ensure that you are happy with the music choices on offer.

Do you bring all the equipment you need to perform?

Yes. I bring my own instruments and when required, a small PA/speaker, which requires access to a mains socket.

Can you learn specific pieces before the event?

If a song isn't already included in my set list there may still be a chance that I already know it. However, if there is a special song you'd like me to learn, I am happy to do this for you. Please note that a large number of specific requests may require an additional charge for preparation and rehearsal time.
