Tilly Chester is a London-based viola player, currently studying at the Royal College of Music as a Foundation Scholar, supported by a Hilary Fabian Award. She has performed at venues such as Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Buckingham Palace and Birmingham Symphony Hall. She studied with Adrian Levine at Chetham's School of Music and now studies with Jonathan Barrit. She has been a member of the Delphi Quartet for two years and they have performed across Manchester and London as well as at the Dingley Festival. Over the summer of 2015, Tilly played concerts all over Italy as part of the Casalmaggiore Music Festival. Tilly was part of the City of Birmingham Youth Orchestra from age 12. She joined the National Youth Orchestra in 2011 and in her final year (2014) was Principal Violist. In addition to her studies, Tilly also teaches, enjoys performing in pit orchestras and gigging with her Dad in their band Agape.
