Tenor based in Leicestershire. Grade 8 (distinction) vocalist working toward licentiate diploma. Also grade 7 pianist.
I came to music relatively late, only starting to learn the piano at 12/13 years of age singing at this point wasn't something I considered! However, as the latest male in a line of at least 3 tenors I was somewhat destined to it and joined my first choir at 16. Having sung through much of the standard choral repertoire, I joined Keele University as an undergraduate in 2009 and received tuition from Mezzo-Soprano Karen Radcliffe. While there I sung with the Keele Bach Choir and Philharmonic Choir under the baton of Matthew Willis and latterly Matthew Hamilton and enjoyed several solo opportunities through those choirs. Since graduating in 2012 I have returned to my home county of Leicestershire and continued to involve myself in the musical life of the area, conducting and also singing, working initially with the Leicester Bach Choir and latterly with the Derby Bach Choir. I am currently receiving tuition from Richard Roddis and working towards a licentiate diploma. Please feel free to contact me with any performance opportunities.
