About Tom & Jo

A professional, diploma level duo based in the East Midlands offering the perfect addition to your ceremony.
Singer (tenor)
Coalville

Tom & Jo are a musical couple who want to share their talents with you on your special day! We're both classically trained (Jo is a mezzo-soprano, Tom is a tenor) and we've both worked our way through grades and onwards to diploma level. We've been singing across the East Midlands for over 30 years, combined, and we sing a variety of styles - from folk songs to lieder, early music and even opera (Tom's favourite) - Jo is also a Jazz specialist. This means whatever you want to hear at your ceremony, one of us will probably be able to sing it! On top of this, Tom is an accomplished pianist and organist with grades and over 10 years experience of playing in churches and at ceremonies, meaning we can cover all aspects of the music for your big day! How to book us... You can book one or both of us - with a few conditions below! If you want to book Jo - You'll also need to provide an accompanist. This can be Tom (as described above), in which case you only have to worry about one bill and one point of contact, or it may be the church already have an organist in mind. Feel free to chat to us if you're not sure. If you want to book Tom, or both Tom and Jo - As above, you'll need an accompanist. If you don't have an accompanist in mind, or the church aren't providing one, we have a network of friends and musicians we can call on, so feel free to chat to us about this. If you want to book just Tom as an accompanist, that's also fine! Please chat to us about what music you'd like - Tom is happy to suggest if you're not sure. We look forward to working with you!

Reviews

From customers:

Matthew W, 9 years ago

I have always found his voice to be very pleasant and well formed in the English vocal style - light, flexible and ringing. He has relished the opportunities to sing a varied repertoire including Palestrina, Bryd, Handel, Mozart, Kodaly and Finzi among others. He has a good aural sense and he has experience of singing in the principal vocal languages including Italian, German, Latin and French. His vocal technique is sound.
