Thomas Pitt

Thomas Pitt is a young violinist and pianist available to play at weddings and events and also as part of ensembles. Thomas graduated with a BMus degree in Music from the University of Birmingham before moving to Cardiff and completing an MA from Cardiff University's School of Music. As well as performing as a solo violinist, Thomas has played with a number of prestigious ensembles, including the CBSO Youth Orchestra and Cheltenham Chamber Orchestra, and now leads the recently-formed Ashdown Sinfonia. In addition, Thomas has significant experience of playing with chamber groups. Also a talented pianist, he was awarded the Sheila Mossman Memorial Prize in 2014 by the ABRSM. He regularly performs as a piano accompanist, both for soloist and choirs. Thomas has a wide range of repertoire to draw upon, but is equally happy giving bespoke performances upon request. Alongside performing, he also gives lessons on both violin and piano.
