The Vesta Trio

The Vesta Trio was formed in 2013 at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama by Alex Griffiths (Flute), Lowri Thomas (Viola) and Megan Morris (Harp). They are recipients of the Cardiff Violins Chamber Prize and were finalists in the McGrenary Chamber Competition. They have participated in masterclasses with renowned harpists Isabelle Perrin and Katherine Thomas. In 2017 they were delighted to be accepted on to Yehudi Menuhin's Live Music Now scheme. Recent performances include recitals at Porthcawl Pavilion, Newport's Riverfront Theatre and a performance for University College London. Past performances including a recital and masterclass for Barry Arts Festival and a performance for the Festival of Flowers at Cardiff Metropolitan Cathedral. As well as performing recitals at venues such as the prestigious Dora Stoutzker Hall and the National Museum of Wales, they have also gained numerous performance opportunities across Wales and England representing Live Music Now and the Music in Hospitals scheme. They can offer a concert experience at hospitals, nursing homes and schools or as background music for event such as weddings, funerals and corporate functions. Megan and Alex often perform as a duo for smaller background events and in November 2014 they performed for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their visit to Pembrokeshire.
