We are most at home performing amongst our audience, taking requests at tables, providing not only a fantastic soundtrack, but a portable, truly immersive and unforgettable entertainment experience! We can provide the perfect musical experience for any occasion, from classy, easy-listening, jazz, swing, arrival and drinks reception vibes to a great selection of party, toe tapping, upbeat, pop, dance, indie, rock-n-roll, country and crowd pleasing, sing-along hits which you and your guests will love! We just wanted to say thank you again for playing and being a part of our wedding day. We had SO many compliments on how great and interactive you were as a band during the arrivals and drinks reception, and for you Kyle singing during the ceremony as an add on really made it perfect. The moment we heard you all play at an open day immediately made us smile and we knew we needed to book you for our special day! We feel like we missed a lot of enjoying your music as we were whisked away for photos, or people coming up to us, so we’re very much looking forward to seeing our videographer footage to capture you playing for our guests! We did a big brunch the next day and The Snap Chaps were excellent! Everyone raved about them and it was the perfect amount of background music but also engaging entertainment! A hard combo to get right. The communication was also excellent throughout the process.

Desserts and Early Evening4 musicians

Our signature 4-piece, unplugged, acoustic strolling band Line-up includes:- Saxophone, Percussion (using Cocktail Drumkit), Double Bass, Acoustic Guitar and Vocals - with all musicians singing too! 3x30-minute sets or equivalent live music, performed over up to a 3 hour period. Suggested as 30-minutes over desserts, we'll make a surprise entrance to the room whilst performing, set up amongst you and your guests and put on a show at the tables, a fun way to lift the room and get your guests warmed up for the speeches. Followed by 2x30-minute sets over the early evening reception after the meal - a great way to greet your evening guests and get the part underway before handing over to your DJ or Evening Act.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The Snap Chaps - Strolling Band was founded in late 2020! Taking influence from strolling acts made popular throughout the South of France, we aim to bring that unplugged, sing-along, party vibe to your event! We specialise in roaming entertainment for weddings, corporate events and private parties!

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

London: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Residency) The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023, The Shard, The Guildhall, Battersea Evolution, Wellington Barracks, John Lewis (Various) Elsewhere: Newmarket Racecourse (Residency), Old Hall Ely, Hengrave Hall BSE, RAF Lakenheath, Tattersalls - Newmarket, Swynford Manor - Newmarket. Plus many, many more!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We each have broad and varied tastes within the band, from Rock'N'Roll, Pop, Folk, Indie, Jazz and Swing - As musicians, variety is the spice of life and it would be impossible to choose a favourite!

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

In 2023 is was a privilege to feature at the Royal Horticultural Society, Chelsea Flower Show, with feature spots on the bandstand stage over 2 days! We are also very proud of our lengthy residency spots in premium hospitality areas at The Jockey Club's Newmarket Racecourse and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium where we feature throughout the year.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard lineup is: Saxophone, Double Bass, Percussion and Acoustic Guitar with all musicians singing as part of the show!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

Please do let us know ASAP, we will endeavour to accommodate any changes. We do on occasion perform 2 events per day, so changes will be accommodated where possible, but cannot be guaranteed.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Regrettably this service is not provided as standard, we are an unplugged act and do not generally carry speakers. This service could be arranged upon negotiation in advance and additional fees may apply.

How much time do you need to set up?

We generally aim to arrive 1hr before our performance to set up and familiarise ourselves with the venue.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Absolutely yes, we are an unplugged roaming act and work best when allowed to move around a venue and interact with our audience!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

There is no obligation to choose songs in advance from the available list, as we will encourage requests throughout our performance. However you are welcome to let us know a few favourites which we will be sure to include for you.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Performing as an unplugged roaming act, we do not generally provide PA and lighting as standard - upgrade options may be available by negotiation.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Special requests can be learned for your event by negotiation, there is generally a nominal fee to study and rehearsal time by our musicians. Please do enquire for prices - we may know the track already in which case there would be no fee due.
