Customer questions
What do your clients love most about your performances?
We have been told quite how slick and professional we are, yet still maintaining an edge, and without sounding overly corporate
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We have played the British F1 Grand Prix and Moto GP at Silverstone, The Ally Pally (Alexandra Palace) a couple of times, The National Space Centre, Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall, Chesterfield Football Club, the Rock The Boat Cruise and on a smaller level - The Walkabout Pub Chain
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Personally, bands like The Beatles, Crowded House, Jellyfish, The Doors, The Divine Comedy and Frank Zappa. The kind of covers we play are usually funk-orientated, but we've found ourselves leaning on a lot of 80's music, and have even contemplated setting up an all-80's band as a side project. We usually choose music that gets a crowd dancing though
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
Without doubt, The F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, which was an amazing experience, with the MotoGP at the same venue - but with the headline slot - the Ally Pally gigs were also huge though
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
We have exactly the same lineup as you see in the videos. We don't use "dep" musicians
Do you have different line-up options?
Our lineup is Vocals, Guitar, Keys, Bass and Drums, with the Guitarist and Keyboard Player both singing backing vocals. We don't usually use dep musicians
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We can be flexible to a point, but please let us know at the earliest opportunity if there are major changes to the day. In general, we usually block out a whole day on the day of a booking to give your event the dedication it deserves. Please try and give us as much notice as possible
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes we can - you can even curate your own Spotify setlist with songs that are personal to you, for example, or you can leave it to us to play party favourites which we have many year's experience of doing too. If you'd like us to play until the venue closes, we can provide this for an extra £100. Many clients are choosing this route instead of a DJ these day
How much time do you need to set up?
Depending on how easy it is to load in (parking, proximity, stairs etc), we can be loaded and sound checked in around an hour and a half, so we recommend getting to the venue at least 2.5 hours before a performance
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
From many years of performing, we have learned which songs flow into each other the best, both in terms of feel, and song key, to ensure the dance floor is full and not to disorient your guests. We'd be happy to hear your thoughts and find what works for you, though, and with enough time we can craft a setlist which gives you the best experience
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
We have a professional PA System and Lighting Rig with Insurance and PAT Testing which is included in your quote
Can you learn song requests before the event?
We'd be happy to consider a song which is particularly special to you - sometimes doing this can really be the "icing on the cake" of the event, but again, bear in mind that we would need time and rehearsals to learn it if it isn't in our repertoire. Depending on the song, we can usually do this between £50-100
