The Voltaires played for our wedding in November. Leading up to the day they were easy to contact, and when with two weeks notice we asked to change our first dance to die with a smile, because I had just heard it on the radio, they were very flexible and agreed to learn it. On the day they performed a beautiful version that still gives me goosebumps when I watch the video. Our guests loved them and the dancefloor was busy all night. Beyond this they are a really friendly group of guys, very professional, quick to respond to queries and very likeable. We would not hesitate to recommend them, The Voltaires are better live than any videos can portray and they exceeded our expectations. Thank you for making our wedding reception so memorable.

What an amazing band, loved every minute, the dance floor was packed all night, I would highly recommend The Voltaires to anyone that wants a band that keeps the crowd going all night.

The Voltaires were absolutely brilliant! They played the perfect mix of rockier crowd pleasers as well as what must be the standard list of wedding songs. They learned our first song and played it with the same flair as their normal playlist. On time, unobtrusive when setting up and flexible when we were slightly behind schedule they were exemplary in terms of professionalism. Book, book. book them you will not regret it!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

The energy and vocals! We really interact with the audience to make sure everyones engaged.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Hundreds... we have some favourites though! We especially like festival stages!

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

We don't really spin our covers, we try to be as true as possible to them, with our own singing style.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We recently did Nick Knowles 60th birthday, which made the news. We've also played at a few celebs' weddings too! Our singer has performed on top of the pops, CD:UK and all the major festivals.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Absolutely - Craig's voice is what has gotten us into many celebrity birthdays and weddings, so is not something we'd play without :)

Do you have different line-up options?

Unfortunately not. Unlike many other function/ wedding bands, we do not play unless it's the original 3 members. This is the only way you can guarantee quality and get a tight band - dep musicians is just not something we risk.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

If you liaise with us, usually this is absolutely fine. The band tends to arrive for evening performances at 5pm and leave at 11pm, so we can be very flexible.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

100% standard - we can even work with you prior to the event to ensure the set list is tailored to your taste.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually around 1 hour and 15 mins to get changed.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Not exactly. We play hundreds of weddings and functions and our setlists are designed on the back of this. However, this doesn't mean you can't request a song or two - we'll do whatever we can to make it as personal as possible.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Of course.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

For a first dance, sure! What better way to personalise your wedding? We are always honest though, and if we feel your particular choice isn’t suitable with our instrumentation then we are happy to offer alternatives.
