The Three Bears is the latest project for Stockport based pianist, Tom Kincaid. The band consists of Lancashire based double Bassist Jim Swinnerton, and Cheshire based Drummer Jack Cotterill. The three musicians has actually been playing together in rhythm sections for 10 plus years backing various bands/line-ups. At the moment they are the rhythm section in the Brownfield/Byrne Hot 6, and the Dave Donohoe Band. Recently the rhythm section realised that the Jazz scene needed a more, traditional trio. That’s when the Three Bears evolved! As well as excelling as a trio in there own right, the Three Bears are a great accompanying trio. They have been a first choice backing trio for national, and international guesting artists wanting a more swinging, lively rhythm section. They have played all over the UK, Europe, and Scandinavia, playing at some of the best Jazz clubs and Festivals about! The band is not only steeped in the traditional Jazz sound, the trio also incorporates mainstream, and New Orleans sounds. With influences from Errol Garner, to Oscar Peterson, to Dr John.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our standard line up is Piano, Bass, and Drums. However this can be reduced to solo Piano, or just a duo. We are also happy to add more instruments such as, Trumpet, Saxophone, Guitar, or a Vocalist. We are very flexible, and we work with numerous musicians all over the country.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We can always assist you and try and make your event run as smoothy as possible. Just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes we can. We can provide this for free during our booked time. If you require this after our set please contact us as it will require additional cost .

How much time do you need to set up?

We normally allow one hour to set up before our performance. However , we can work with you on the times if you require us to set up earlier.

Can you roam around while you perform?

We can with certain line ups. If this is what you require, please state in your booking.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We can definitely work with you to provide a tailored set list.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

PA is always included in the cost if needed.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

Absolutely.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

We have performed at many venues, clubs, and festivals all over the world. We always enjoy going to the Swiss alps to perform at the Davos sounds good festival.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We once performed at Dresden Jazz Festival to a crowd of 250,000!
