Just the band - no PA or lighting (1-hr music)7 musicians
If all you need is for the band to rock up with their instruments and play, then this is the package for you! We will play up to two 30-min sets.
For this package to work, you must supply the PA system, including: microphones, stands, cables, mixer (min. 8 channels), amp and speakers. We can provide a full tech-spec upon request.

Casual Events (1-hr music)7 musicians
The Thornes will play up to two 30-min sets and provide our PA system and party lights. The band will be in casual dress and song requests are £30 per song. This package is only for casual events, such as birthdays, anniversaries, pub music nights and other non-formal parties. It is a great chance to get your guests dancing to live music

What do your clients love most about your performances?
The band is made up of old school friends and have been playing together professionally since 2018. This means we have an outstanding report and exciting stage presence. We genuinely enjoy performing together and take pride in playing well!
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
The Thornes has performed in hotels, golf clubs, private members clubs, homes, church halls, theatres, schools and a host of other places.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
The big names that usually appear in our set lists are Stevie Wonder, The Jackson 5 and Bruno Mars. The Thornes love all things Motown, Soul, Funk, RnB and Pop, and you will find our set lists are eclectic collections of hits from throughout the decades.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
We are proud to have represented the Sutton in the annual New Year's Day Parade, in 2018. We won the people's choice award and were given 3rd place by the judges, out of all the London Boroughs.
Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?
When our lead vocalist falls ill or is unavailable, we have a selection of auditioned singers. We will also make you aware, so there are no surprises on the day. You can be confident that all of our players are of a very high level.
Do you have different line-up options?
The Thornes' usual line up is as follows: Vocals, Sax, Trumpet, Keys, Guitar, Bass and Drums. There is the option to add Backing-Vocals and Trombone, adding a touch of panache to the ensemble.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
We will play music in-between our sets using our own device or yours.
When the band finish the last set, if you would like music to be played until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.
How much time do you need to set up?
We require 1.5 hours to fully set up the PA system, band equipment and lights.
As soon as our PA system is set up, we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere for your guests.
The band will do a soundcheck before they are ready to perform, consisting of a short extract from a song or two.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
The Thornes have regular set-lists that are frequently updated. These have been carefully curated over the years to ensure your guests have an amazing time.
We are happy to discuss changes to the set list for your event, and have a large song-list for you to pick from.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
PA and lighting is included in our quote. We require a minimum of 2 separate plug sockets (preferably 3) to power the band and approximately 6m x 4m of space to perform.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
If there is a special song you'd like us to learn, we are happy to do this for you for free. Any additional song requests are at a rate of £30 each.
