What do your clients love most about your performances?
Clients love our smooth sound and professional presentation. We pride ourselves on tailoring our performances to the needs of each event and client. Whether its invigorating a dancefloor or providing some relaxing background ambience, we're happy to adapt ourselves to any performance situation.
Which venues have you performed at in the past?
We've performed in a variety of venues from luxury hotels such as Cheval The Edinburgh Grand, The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews, and The Glasgow Grosvenor, to music venues like Oran Mor and The Record Factory. We also have a long standing relationship with the University of Glasgow, having performed at the Hunterian Museum and Advanced Research Centre.
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
We are all lovers of classic jazz music from the 40's, 50's, and 60's, and are heavily influenced by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, and Louis Armstrong.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
We have performed at many high profile events, however a real highlight for us was our performance for the 2022 Times Higher Education Congress hosted by the University of Glasgow, where we had the privilege of playing for a host of esteemed academics and dignitaries from the world's top universities.
Do you have different line-up options?
Our standard line-up is the trio of Vocals, Guitar and Double/Electric Bass - but we offer an addition of a drummer for an additional fee. Please get in touch if you're looking for something more bespoke such as a horn player.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We're committed to being as flexible as possible for our clients, so if there is a change of plan please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our very best to accommodate you!
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Yes! We have mp3 capability via Spotify tailored to your event that we can put through our PA.
How much time do you need to set up?
A good guideline is about 45 minutes- 1 hour dependant on set-up. Being a 3-piece without drums or burdensome equipment means we are usually quick to set-up and take into consideration the timing needs of our clients.
Can you roam around while you perform?
We tend to perform with a PA which somewhat limits our ability to move away from the stage during performance. However if this is something you'd like us to do we can certainly explore our options.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Most typically we will have our set repertoire of songs which we examine regularly to see what works well with guests and what might need work - we're in the process of adding new songs over the coming months.
We're open to a few requests for your event, but are not a juke-box type band - we would be very happy to chat about what you'd like to hear!
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
Yes - all of our PA and set-up is included in our quote we provide to you.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
We're happy to work with clients to prepare a couple of requests beforehand if this is well-communicated: please note that as a rule-of-thumb we do not take requests on the evening in most cases.
