I can say with some conviction that “The Soul Skunks” carry some serious groove. Two female singers, a horn section, funky-ass guitar and a whip-crack tight rhythm section gave them the oomph required to lay down track after track of motown, soul and ska music. Great band. They did all the classics and chucked in some curveballs. Proper singers, too; those girls can wail.
