Customer questions
Which artists have you been most influenced by?
Jack Hylton and Artie shaw are big influences. We also take inspiration from Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman. These are the notable ones but most Band leaders of the 30s and 40s are looked at within the band.
What is the most high profile gig you've performed?
The Goodwood Revival Ball. This private event at the Revival Meeting consisted of 2000 guests having dinner and a dance inside one of the aircraft hangars at the Goodwood Airfield. This was fully kitted out to look like a 1930s film set. These guests were notable figures in the Motoring world, big personalities and members of the extended Royal Family.
Do you have different line-up options?
Yes! So we can provide the full band of 23 players and 8 singers all the way down to a 4-piece band with no singer.
What if my timings change after I've booked you?
We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know
Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?
Absolutely. This is something we have at most of our performances and we offer this service for free.
How much time do you need to set up?
Depending on the size of the band this can change, but ideally we would like 1 to 1.5 hours to set up.
Can you roam around while you perform?
With our smaller bands this is something we can have arranged.
Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?
Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.
Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?
All the equipment will be included in the quote. We sometimes check with you if your event isn't at a venue if you have equipment such as extra chairs or a Marquee, if outside, if we can use them. But this isn't a problem if not.
Can you learn song requests before the event?
If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you.
