What a night! Best night I have had with my clothes on in a Very Very Very long time. The atmosphere was just amazing, the music fantastic, and when the "Honk Hook" came on for the Nightboat to Cairo finale, the whole bar erupted. Just a great night, if you get a chance make sure you check out #TheSkadinals just great!

What a year it's been for the Skadinals! When the 5 of us first got together at the end of March for an intensive 3 month Ska bootcamp, we weren't even sure we would be ready for our first gig in July. But after a brilliant attitude and a lot of hard work by everyone (especially our Sax player, Steve), we made that first gig and 10 more over the following months. The one consistent factor over all those gigs was our brilliant audiences. They turned up in large numbers, danced their hearts out and showed us so much appreciation it was humbling. We'd like to thank everyone who has come out to see us this year, you're the ones that make this worthwhile. With 7 gigs already lined up for next year, 2023 is looking like it will be a great year for The Skadinals. We hope you'll come and share it with us! Our next gig is Saturday 28th January 2023 at Fatlils Witney. Why not get some tickets? It's the perfect xmas gift for the Ska lover in your life and we'll see you there. Oh and bring your dancing shoes, you'll need 'em 😉

Customer questions

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We bring a raw energy to our music that many other ska bands seem to lack. This music is infectious and we always get the audience dancing and singing along.

Which venues have you performed at in the past?

Various pubs/clubs around the Oxfordshire/Buckinghamshire region.

Which artists have you been most influenced by?

Madness, The Specials, Bad Manners & The Beat

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

We have played Fat Lil's in Witney and have just been offered a spot on the Main Stage at the Witney Music Festival 2023.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line up consists of Drums, Bass, Guitar, Sax and Vocals. We try to add a trumpet for larger scale events

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We'll try to be flexible with start/end times but we currently offer 2x 45 minute sets with a short break in between.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

We play music through our PA before the gig, during the break and for a little while after while we are packing up.

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually like to have at least an hour for setup and sound checking.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Most of the stages we play on are fairly small for a 5 piece so we tend to not move around the stage that much.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

We currently offer a tight package of 30 or so songs, all of which are well known classics for any ska fan.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

We will provide our own PA and basic lighting. We will obviously need access to plug points and enough space for a 5 piece band.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If there is a specific song, sufficient time and it's within our genre we could have a discussion about learning it. This would be considered on an ad-hoc basis.
