The Records are a young and dynamic modern duo who guarantee to bring their infectious energy and enthusiasm to your event. With over 15 years of industry experience between them, members of The Records have worked with Artists such as; Bonnie Tyler, Jason Donovan, Gwen Dickie, Kim Wilde, Midge Ure and have featured in music documentaries for the BBC. Comprising of Female and Male vocals and guitar, their harmonies and individual arrangements of classic and modern repertoire will wow your guests and create the perfect atmosphere for your event. Covering artists from Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye and Whitney Houston to Zara Larson, Ed Sheeran and Justin Timberlake, we guarantee to be able to create a bespoke package, tailored specifically to your needs and wants. Whether as background music, afternoon or evening entertainment. This could include anything from; our disco package to a larger line up; with the addition of a Cajun Drum, Bass player or Saxophone who can adapt to suit any sized event.

What do your clients love most about your performances?

We are great at bringing energy and atmosphere to your event but are also able to tailor what we do whatever mood you are looking to create, be that a party vibe or easy going background music.

What is the most high profile gig you've performed?

Our primary focus has been on London residences, as well as private parties, however members of The Records regularly perform up and down the country for private events, in theatres. Our vocalists have performed with artists such as: Bonnie Tyler, T'Pau, Jason Donovan, Midge Ure and Gwen Dickey

Do you have different line-up options?

We have a range of different line ups including: : Acoustic Duo : Solo female singer with backing tracks : Solo male singer with guitar : Acoustic trio with Cajon or Saxophone : Acoustic Quartet with Cajon and Saxophone or Double bass : Acoustic Quintet with Cajon, Saxophone and Double bass

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £100.”

How much time do you need to set up?

Set up varies dependent not the line up you have booked. Smaller set up and soundcheck s can vary from 15mins - 45mins with larger quartet and quintets needing a full 1 hour - 1 hour 30mins.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes - we either perform acoustically or with microphones attached to our instruments so we can move around freely.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA is included in your quote.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. We require 2 weeks notice to learn a special request song. There is a fee of £30 for this service to take into account rehearsal times etc.
