The Pretty Ugly – Yorkshire’s Premier 80s/Indie Pop Rock Trio The Pretty Ugly are a dynamic three-piece band based in Yorkshire, known for their powerful blend of 80s-inspired pop and indie rock. Absolutely incredible from start to finish. Had everyone dancing at our corporate Christmas party from the very first song. We'd not had a band before so wasn't sure what to expect, but booking these guys far exceeded my expectations. Already looking forward to booking them again for next year - thank you so much guys, you were an absolute pleasure and everyone loved you!

What a band. What a night. The Pretty Ugly were absolutely fantastic!! I can't recommend them enough. They learned our first dance song and it was everything we wanted and more. They got the whole crowd dancing, everyone loved them. They were so patient with some over zealous bridesmaids and I cant thank you guys enough for making our wedding so fun! Wish we could do it all again. Thank you thank you thank you!

What do your clients love most about your performances?

From our point of view, our versatility and performing in such a way that creates crowd interaction. We believe our music is one that can get any crowd to bop as long as they drop.

Headlining the Dome, Doncaster at a special awards competition for young musicians.

Will the singer be the same as who I see in the videos?

Yes, we almost always play shows with the same musicians. In the event of a band member falling ill last-minute we will have a technology system in place to replace that member of the band while the rest still play live. Our musicians are always striving for perfection so the quality can always be expected to be the highest level.

Do you have different line-up options?

Our line-up consists of : Vocalsx2, Guitarx2, Keys, Bass and Drums. Our acoustic line-up can alter depending on personal preferences.

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide an iPod/DJ service before and between your sets?

Absolutely. This is a really popular request and we actually offer this service for free. If you'd like a DJ service via our PA after the final set until the venue closes, we provide this for an additional £200

How much time do you need to set up?

We usually set up about 1 to 1.5 hours before the performance time. As soon as our PA is set up we can provide a free playlist service to help set the atmosphere and get your guests ready for our live performance!

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Our set lists are crafted from countless performances and learning what works best to ensure guests dance and have an amazing time. However, we're definitely happy to chat through and make sure we find what works for your event.

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Our PA and lighting system is included in your quote. We usually require a minimum of 8m by 5m space to perform.

Can you learn song requests before the event?

If a song isn't included in our song list there may still be a chance we already know it. If there is a special song you'd like us to learn we are happy to do this for you. Just let us know with at least a months notice before the day of the event.
