The Players

Our little band from York has years of experience and a passion for great service. And we know how to bring the party! A lot of bands will tell you that they are the number one party band in the country; others will tell you about the big name bands they supported once; and some will even tell you how much they have spent on their equipment. The Players don’t do any of that. It’s your event. It’s all about you. It doesn’t matter if you have never booked a band before, or if you do it all the time, we will do everything we can to ensure that working with us is as easy as possible. We came together to entertain audiences at wedding, parties, balls and any event that needs great live music. We don't believe that size is important - it's what you do that counts! As a four-piece band we can cater for smaller, more intimate, events where larger function bands might struggle because of size and cost. But we're equally at home on big stages. As The Players we have over a decade of experience playing weddings, parties and events. Individually, we've played every style imaginable, from show tunes to Heavy Metal; and, you can hear us on everything from radio jingles to rock records, and club hits to country albums. We play some of the greatest hits from the last seven decades, so whether you're looking for indie rock, classic pop or just a huge set of guaranteed crowd-pleasers, we can deliver it.
